Taeo UI Ready for Patch 3.2! Skins Pack Available!
Published by Taeo on Wednesday, August 12, 2009

Taeo UI v2.0.3b is now available and fully patched up for 3.2! You can find a list of the changes for this version in our new patch notes forum. If you haven’t already, head over to the download page and let us know what you think!

Poly and I would also like to thank everyone who has supported the release! Whether by donating, giving feedback, or helping to troubleshoot in the forums - we really appreciate the gesture! On that note, we really like seeing people helping each other out on the forums and to encourage this we’ve created a moderator rank. If any active posters would like to volunteer please let us know! We’re looking at you Exius! haha

Lastly, I’m excited to announce that the first Taeo UI skins pack is now available for download! This impressive pack has been created for us by Shelbi Roach of The Bronze Kettle. Shelbi is a super talented designer and these skins really show it! We hope you all like them as much as we do.

I’ll leave you guys with a little preview of Shelbi’s skin pack - and if you have some skin ideas and Photoshop chops head over to our skins forum to get instructions on how to make your own!

EDIT: Wow I have apparently been convinced we were a patch ahead for a while now and noone corrected me! lol… fixed the post title!

  1. Thanks for all of your hard work on this guys! I appreciate you taking the time to fix things. :]

  2. This is great news! I’m going to update as soon as I get home.

Keep up all of your great work, guys and gals!

  3. Hey this UI is great, any chance the final version will be available on curse.com/curse client? It’d be great cuz alot of us use curse to keep our addons up to date. BTW love the skins pack, great job . :)

  4. Amazing work, would it be too much trouble to make a Gnome skin with gears and cogs, ya know, Gnomish stuff :)

    Great job!!!

  5. @Shelbi No problem! It was all Poly tho!

    @Badger Thanks!

@Doctaspawk We have considered it but in some cases updating an AddOn may break the auto configuration features of Taeo UI so we are hesitant to encourage it without at least a warning of caution. Since Taeo UI is merely a compilation with a separate master/configuring AddOn you can actually use any of the AddOn updating suites available to update those. However we always recommend backing up your Interface and WTF folders before doing so because updating some mods may break Taeo UI features.

@Skroto We’re probably not going to produce any more skins ourselves until we’ve taken care of all the bugs and functionality requests. However, the skinning system is open for anyone to add their own skin. Check it out in the skins forum - post a request even! Maybe someone will give it a shot.

  6. As always guys, fantastic work!

  7. Hey, quick question. If I override Taeo versions to update it, which, if any, user settings will carry over?

  8. Was wondering if someone could post a Youtube video of this bad boy in action so prospective clients like myself could see it first hand. Love the looks of it, I just wonder how healing would work for right now.

  9. I tried to install this addon, but not sure if I do it right. Are the fonts folder also supposed to be placed in the interface folder? I find the installation guide kinda unclear. Also I dont like how Elkanos buffbars dont have bars for my target. I have to configure that myself. :(
