Sarbie: An introduction
Published by Sarbie on Thursday, November 04, 2010

Hello to all past, present and future Taeo UI users, my name is Sarbie (or wast3gat3 in other circles).
As Taeo stated I have been in contact with him over the past few weeks about maintaining the Taeo UI package and after sending him an updated UI zip file for 4.0.1 he agreed to me taking over the project and keeping it alive through Cataclysm.
I stumbled upon the Taeo UI shortly before patch 3.2 and have been maintaining it privately through 3.2 and 3.3 patches. With 4.0 came a few weeks of UI turmoil while addon developers released compatible addons and with a major release there is always changes to Blizzards hooks for addons.
I’m not planning any major changes to the actual taeoui addon as it’s functionality is exceptional but I found it has needed some tuning and changes to accomodate 4.0.1.
Now that the dust has settled and addon updates are becoming fewer I’ll lock in releases and re-publish a new version in the next few days that will work again with 4.0.1.

Boy I can’t wait for this. I’m sure it will be well worth the long wait!!!!

Sorry for the delay, I’m busy learning the construtction of the site and should have the new version uploaded and linked within the next 12hrs.
There is some small bugs that I would of liked ironed out but don’t want to disappoint you with delays. They are only minor (mainly cosmetic) issues and I have some workarounds.

This is good news I must say. Looking farward to it for sure. I came upon this site hunting for a replacment ui from the old spartan ui. My wife and I love the look and layout of this one. It’s defently on our list. Great work!!

The long awaited update to TaeoUI is now live, v2.1.06 has been uploaded, the release notes are on the forums and if you have any issue please post them in the bugs forums.
Please read the release notes as there is some workarounds for current issues.
I’ll work to resolve them over the next couple of weeks, once they are worked out I’ll add some new functionality based off user feedback. The main aim of v2.1 is to ensure that the original functionality of v2.0 is available for the launch of Cataclysm and give a solid basis to expand on.
    Enjoy!

I just want to know whether you will end up creating a ‘profile’ for healers, as the current setup is just not working for me. I love the UI on my dps though!
